Dear Support and Community,

I would like to buy the Victus 15 laptop, but I'm surprised that the power supply only delivers 120 watts, so my question is how high the TGP of the GPU is set. Thank you very much.

It's about this one:

@Mellie-73, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Power Supply and GPU TGP!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

The HP Victus 15-fa2705ng laptop you mentioned comes with a 120-watt power supply. However, HP does not specifically disclose the TGP (Total Graphics Power) of the GPU for this model directly.

Take care, and have an amazing day!

Hello Mellie-73.

A while back another forum member with a very similar system found that HP has disclosed the TGP values for various models and per GPU. According to this official HP spec sheet that provides the TGP data for various current HP Gaming Laptops, the 15-fa1000 with the Nvidia 4050 is limited to just 75W. Your 15-fa2000 with the 13420H CPU and the RTX4050 uses the old previous gen components and is sure to be limited to 75W. You can see a review by the Austrians at Notebookcheck where the almost identical previous generation model with the 13500H and the RTX4050 has the 75W TGP limit:

"HP has chosen 75 watts (including Dynamic Boost) for the Victus 15, which is relatively low for the RTX 4050"

"The fact that the RTX 4050 operates with a maximum TDP of 75 watts does not have any noticeable effects compared to laptops with a higher TGP"

Take care!
