Will it work for HP Pavilion 15-e049tx Notebook (http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03846448) , I have compared the product specifications with the Model given here, and everything is the same. The system came with Windows 8 , but I had to install Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. Will really appreciate if someone could answer quickly.
thanks

Most of these drivers work on your system...if you still need any other drivers, please provide the hardware ids and we can help you with the necessary drivers.

Thanks Vidya,
I had updated windows earlier and most of the drivers were taken care of then, only Video Controller, USB Controller and Blouetooth Controller had issues, now I've installed the USB controller and its working fine. Now I've understood that if I install the Video Controller and Bluetooth Controller it will also be fine, my question is do i need to download and install the rest of the drivers or is it ok as long as I don't see any issue in the Device manager?
thanks again.

If all the drivers got installed and are not showing up in device manager for need of drivers, you do not need to install them. Please share the hardware ids of bluetooth and video so that I can suggest the right drivers.

Vidya

If you've read this forum anytime in the past 2years, you've probably noticed the constant stream of complaints about switchable graphics not working - this is because AMD's drivers didn't switch for OpenGL applications, and many HP models don't have a BIOS option to enable fixed mode switching (which would work around the driver bug.)
However, there are some beta drivers from AMD that fix this problem. You probably can't install them as is since they don't include the drivers for the Intel GPU, but you can work around this by modifying the driver update from HP! Here's how:
- Download the latest official driver for your model, and a AMD beta driver from http://forums.anandtech.com/archive/index.php/t-2315933.html (make sure to get the mobile version)
- Run the HP installer, but when you get to the screen with the install and uninstall buttons, close the window. Do the same for the AMD one.
- Open 2 Windows Explorer windows: C:\AMD\AMD_Catalyst_13.5_Mobility_Beta2 and C:\SWSetup\SP61168 (these will vary depending on which drivers you downloaded.)
- Copy files from C:\AMD\AMD_Catalyst_13.5_Mobility_Beta2\Packages\Apps\CIM\Win32 and C:\AMD\AMD_Catalyst_13.5_Mobility_Beta2\Packages\Drivers\Display\W8_INF(or w7_INF)\B155978 into the HP folder, replacing existing files with the same name. (use Win32 instead of Win64 if you have a 64 bit version of Windows)
- Run setup.exe in the HP folder and follow the instructions.
You should now have the beta drivers installed! You can check the version in Device Manager to make sure that it worked.

Vidya
