HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 11m-ad0xx

Hi, so, myHP Pavilion x360 convertible 11m-ad0xx model laptop has suffered a hard drive failure and I am wondering how I get into my hard drive so I could replace it with another, perhaps. The specific error by the way is failure ID: 9BV88F-8QK9H3-GXGGRF-60WJ03, says it has something to do with Hard Drive 1 - Primary HDD Bay. I doubt there is a simple fix to this other then replacing the Hard Drive or maybe even repairing the Primary HDD Bay so finding out HOW to get into my Hard Drive and figuring out what the problem is. I can't seem to find a website describing how to get into my system, as there are three screens in the bottom, and there seems to be something on the inside, something I assume is vital, with these plastic strips to hold the bottom casing in place on the bottom right-hand corner of the keyboard area.

Hi:

The code you received does indicate that the hard drive will need to be replaced and the operating system reinstalled.

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

The HDD R & R procedure can be found in chapter 5.

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06040336

After you replace the hard drive, you can reinstall W10 as follows...

You can make a W10 USB flash drive installer with the Microsoft Media Creation Tool, using an 8 GB flash drive using another Windows PC, if your PC is not working.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

If you are asked to enter a product key during the installation process, select the 'I don't have a product key' option, and W10 will install and automatically activate once you are connected to the internet.

Here are the steps to create the W10 USB flash drive installer...

Select Download tool now, and select Run.

If you agree to the license terms, select Accept.

On the What do you want to do? page, select Create installation media for another PC, and then select Next.

Select the language, edition, and architecture (64-bit or 32-bit) for Windows 10. You want 64 bit.

Select which media you want to use:

USB flash drive. Plug in a blank USB flash drive with at least 8GB of space. Any content on the flash drive will be deleted.

Then you can reinstall the drivers and available software from the PC's support page.

Hi, I was looking over the manuel and realized that the pictures shown do not match my model of my computer. The placement of the speakers and the screws on the bottom do not match (I have only three screws, while the other model had four screws if I remember correctly). That being said, all the ports are correct, like SD, USB, HDMI, etc, but is the interior, like the battery and such, are in the same place?

Also, the other day, I was actually trying to open up my computer. I had removed the screws (and had a hard time trying to take off the silver shell because it's really on there. Good job HP.) and noticed that on the bottom left hand corner of the device, there seems to be something holding the shell onto the rest of the laptop. I also couldn't get it all the way off, as the right hand side was pretty tight on despite having no screw. Now, I'm sure I was doing something wrong, like I was missing a step, but as I said, I cannot find anything on my specific model of computer. I get other models of x360 Convertibles, but not one like mine. If it helps, My specific computer was a version made in 2017 (My specific computer was made on October 2nd, 2017), Product Number: 1KT77UA#ABA. Unless the hardware of other HPs is identical, I'd prefer this model, and perhaps this would help me discover my difficulty getting into said guts. That being said, a new hardrive isn't a problem, I can scavenge the parts from other laptops that work but are old work computers. I just need instructions on how to do this without having to pay someone to do this, which you did indeed give me: Just for my specific model.

Hi:

That is the only manual linked to the model series.  There is no specific manual for your model.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to help you any further since apparently the manual linked to the support page is not correct.
