HP Pavilion 15-vc235nd
Ubuntu LTS

After removing all screws from the back (I looked under the two "grip" strips but there were no hidden screws there) I cannot separate the back-panel from the laptop. This is a problem because my fans are becoming very noisey, and cleaning from just the outside is not enough. To prevent further damage, or in the case it's too late and I need to replace the fan(s), I need to open up my laptop.
Are there any hidden screws I am missing?

Am I doing something else wrong?

In particular after removing all the screws I can separate the back panel on the sides a little bit, but it is solidly stuck at the screen hindge side, and near the trackpad.

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer would be to read the Maintenance and Service Guide (chapter 5) on your notebook's support page.

Thanks with the official manual as reassurance I was ok with putting a slight bit more pressure to pry it apart which worked!

Sadly it seems my fans are both defective, but I should now be able to fix it!
