I recently purchased a new HP - Pavilion 15-eh1507sa (8B591EA). Please note that this HP app has identified my device as something else. I have spent some time researching the above question online and it has been very difficult to establish whether this computer has a backlit keyboard and if so, how to turn backlighting on. What the internet tells me is the device may have a backlit keyboard and may have a key containing the relevant icon, or one of several keys that may or may not need to be used with the Fn key. Perhaps someone can finally answer what should be a simple question. A backlit keyboard should not be a nice to have!

What is your PC 15-eh1000 (2H5A6AV) machine ? It could be one of the following over 180 machines
Does your machine have a F* key with backlit symbol ?
- If NO, it does not have backlit keyboard.
- If YES, please use the following Guide

Hi Banhien
Thanks for your response/ As I say in my original post, the HP app incorrectly identified my laptop. It is a HP - Pavilion 15-eh1507sa (8B591EA).
My impression from information on the internet is that the absence of the key with a backlight symbol is not proof that my keyboard is not backlit. The various articles I have read suggest that the keyboard may still be backlit and other keys can be used with or without the Fn key.
The point of my original post is that given the model (which I hope I did in my original post and now this one) someone can say definitively whether or not this model has a backlit keyboard.
Kind regards
Steve

Hi Susie
It was surprisingly hard to get an answer to what you'd think was a straightforward question. In the end I used the chat facility and was shown a specification for my laptop which indicated the keyboard was not backlit.
I settled for that
Hope this helps
Steve
