Ever since i got this laptop brand new the keyboard has been acting up pressing keys on its own for example constantly pressing F3 like rapidly. And not letting me press keys while others are being press like holding W and i cant press E , i didn't really notice it as much first but it got more noticeable as i played more games on it. I've updated and re downloaded drivers with no effects to the problem, searched for the problem and i couldn't really find much on it. if anyone knows how to fix this please let me know.

Hi @Hudo1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're dealing with a keyboard hardware issue on your Victus by HP 15.6-inch gaming laptop. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially fix the problem.
- Keyboard Driver Update: While you've mentioned that you've updated drivers, it's worth double-checking if there are any further updates available. Sometimes, even a minor update can resolve compatibility issues or bugs. Visit the HP support website, enter your laptop model, and download the latest keyboard drivers.
- Keyboard Hardware Check: Physically inspect the keyboard for any signs of damage or debris that might be causing keys to stick or register incorrectly. Gently clean the keyboard with compressed air or a soft brush to remove any dust or particles that could be interfering with keypresses.
- Keyboard Settings: Check your keyboard settings in Windows to see if there are any customizations or accessibility features enabled that could be causing the issue. Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers, right-click on your keyboard, and select "Keyboard settings" to review and adjust settings as needed.
- Keyboard Replacement: If the issue persists despite trying the above steps, it's possible that there's a hardware defect with the keyboard itself.
- External Keyboard: As a temporary workaround, you could also try using an external USB keyboard to see if the issue persists. If the external keyboard functions normally, it further suggests that the problem lies with the built-in keyboard on your laptop.
- Reset BIOS/UEFI Settings: Sometimes, resetting the BIOS or UEFI settings to default can resolve hardware-related issues. Enter the BIOS or UEFI setup utility during startup (usually by pressing a key like F2 or Del), navigate to the "Exit" or "Reset" menu, and select the option to reset settings to default.
By following these steps, you should be able to diagnose and address the keyboard issue on your Victus by HP 15.6-inch gaming laptop.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
