How many RAM and SSD slots does my HP Notebook laptop have? Product name Z9E95EA#ABV, MBoard 81EE

Currently have i5-7200U, 8GB ram and what recommended brands should I buy for these.

Your user's guide (on page 2) states that your model has two memory slots supporting 2x 8 GB DDR4-2133 memory.

You can add another 8 GB RAM in the second slot. DDR4-2133 may not be easy to find so you can use DDR4-2400 like this (2400 frequency will downclock to 2133).

Your model doesn't come with an M.2 slot. Your option will be to replace a stock1 TB 2.5" hard drive with a 2.5" SATA SSD, which will provide a noticeable performance gain. You can buy one like this.

See the thread below where Paul_Tikkanen reports Samsung Evo 2.5" SATA SSDs have compatibility issues with many HP computers.

If you just want to be safe, you may choose a different brand. I suggested a WD SA510 earlier, but there are many other good brands. See this Amazon site.

I suggested a WD SA510 because it runs a little faster than other brands and provides a 5-year warranty.

I would say it's one of the best, if not the best.
