HP Notebook - 14-df0023cl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi.

Can anyone please tell me how much ram I can put in an HP Notebook model 14-df0023cl?

Right now I have 4 gigabytes of DDR4 ram in it but there's another ram slot.

On page 10 of the service manual (http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06146792) it says:

"DDR4-2133 dual channel support (i3-7100U, i3-7020U processors)

Supports up to 16 GB of system RAM in the following conƭgurations

● 16384 MB (8192 MB×2)

● 12288 MB (8192 MB×1 + 4096 MB×1)

● 8192 MB (8192 MB×1 + 4096×2)

● 4096 MB (4096 MB×1 or 2048×2)

One memory module slot (Intel Pentium and Celeron processors): Memory is non-customer accessible/non-upgradeable DDR4-2400 single channel support Supports up to 8 GB of system RAM in the following conƭgurations ● 8192 MB (8192 MB×1) ● 4096 MB (4096 MB×1)

So, can the HP Notebook - 14-df0023cl  support up to 8 gigabytes or can it support up to 16 gigabytes? The manual is very confusing to me.

Thank you.

P.S. I was able to upgrade the SSD so the part where it says that "memory is non-customer accessible" is not true (but it was very difficult to get the bottom cover off).

Hi:

You can install 2 x 8 GB in your PC.

The non-customer accessible, non-upgradable statements mean that upgrades should be done by an authorized service center.

As long as the customer can do the work themselves without breaking anything in the process, thus voiding the warranty, doing the work yourself is fine.

THANK YOU!

NOW - where can I buy the RAM chips AND where can I see a video of the installation process?
