Hey guys, I’m using an HP ZBook 15 G6, and it’s driving me crazy that the keyboard backlight keeps turning off after a few seconds! Anyone knows how to keep it on all the time? I’ve checked the settings but didn’t find anything useful. Maybe there’s a hidden trick or something in the BIOS?

Would appreciate any tips. Thanks!

@cibaa,

I owned an EliteBook 840 G3 a long time ago, and it had the backlight timeout setting.

Go into F10 BIOS -> Advanced -> Built-in Device Options and look for the keyboard backlight timeout option and change it to Never.

The backlight drains the battery faster. If you run the notebook on battery power, keep an eye on the charge level.
