Here is the key language from the Manual:
The top cover/keyboard spare part remains after all other spare parts have been removed.
This is on p. 64 of the Manual:
In other words you completely disassemble the laptop, in this case by flipping it over, remove the bottom cover and all the internals and then rebuild the laptop onto the new top cover. A pretty big job. Post back with any more questions and please accept as solution if this is the info you needed.
