Hi,

thanks, just to get it right - the Omen 16 cannot be charged via USB at all, is this correct?

Your machine is an OMEN by HP Transcend 16 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-u0000 (7C0V6AV) computer as shown

It uses  AC ADPTR 280W PFC SMART 3PIN 4.5mm part # M95376-001. Its specs

It has (2) Thunderbolt 4 with USB Type-C® 40 Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge) ports. It supports charging using USB-C port with a compatible charger or dock.

It says on page 6: 

 

NOTE:Your computer might also support a Thunderbolt docking station.  (It does not list which one)
NOTE:To ensure that your computer operates at full performance and can charge the battery when using resource-intensive applications, use the AC adapter that ships with your computer. You can use an optional 100 W, 20 V Type-C adapter or power bank when running light-load tasks. System-off charging is supported only when you use a 20 V Type-C adapter or power bank.

 

That means your charger is NOT compatible
