Hello
Could someone please tell me how to disable the touchpad on my Elitebook 8440p.
When I go to settings all I can find is ´HID -mouse' and 'PS/2 compatible mouse'.
If there is a way ( and surely there is one ) I can't find it.
Regards
Peter.
P.S Even typing this was difficult.

If you have the Synaptics driver installed, the setting can be found in:
Settings -> Devices->Mouse->Additional mouse options
Or by WinKey+R -> type control and hit Enter -> Mouse
A relatively new driver can be found here:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp82501-83000/sp82576.exe
Not 100% sure it's compatible with the old hardware.
Some Elitebooks also have a tiny active area on the top left part of the trackpad. Drivers permitting double tapping it quickly should turn the pad of or on (orange light should come on when disabled)
