Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have the laptop and it's battery is so much swollen that it touch the shape and functionality of the laptop.

The battery and laptop were starting to use since November 11, 2016.

The battery's model is TE03XL.

Mini questions are:

a) Have to know what kind of the battery (Li-ion or Li-Po)?

b) How to distinguish original fro  fake (please do not tell about to buy in store as store' workers are not professionals in that area)?

My Opinion:

Purchasing from a reputable merchant about the best you can do to reduce the chances of fraud.  "Fakes" come in all flavors and some are very good imitations of the real thing.

If the subject is of great concern, take your purchased battery to a licensed repair technician and see if he / she can find anything that might indicate the battery is other than "real".  Technicians are not magicians - they do see a lot of products and likely have an eye for what is right as opposed to what is "off".
