Hi, community
Hoping to get some positive answer and solution.
I have a HP Pavilion x360 14 Convertible PC 14-dy0000
its been almost two year where my touchpad hasn't been working and its quite frustrating no to have touchpad working, in the end Mouse isn't all the thing we need.
In the Device Manager the driver which is supposed to be for touchpad 12C HID Device has a yellow sign, and when I clicked properties the following pop up in the tab "This device can't start, (code 10), A request for the HID descriptor failed
I have tried every possible approaches which I could know of, I have tried every thing on the internet but couldn't find any solution.
some guys from ASUS & DELL technician have also tried to fix but in the end they say they didn't know how to fix
can someone help me

This is the May 2023 touchpad driver for your laptop. It should be good for win11 22H2
Have you run diagnostics?
Tap the ESC key after powering on. . Tap it once a second after you see the LEDs on the keyboard flash. When you see the startup menu, press F2 to run diagnostics.
If the touchpad fails during diagnostics there is a hardware problem.

I have performed Diagnosis like you said, and the touchpad is working fine with external mouse being connected.
but still my problem needs to be fixed
You wrote that the touchpad is working.
What is the problem that still needs to be fixed?
