i understand my laptop is an older model, but I was wondering if i'd be able to purchase a new internal hard drive for more storage. Right now, I have factory reset my laptop, uninstalled all unnecessary apps, and my storage capacity is almost half full.

Hi:
Unfortunately, the notebooks with the 64 GB eMMC flash drives cannot be upgraded.
Below is the link to the service manual.
Now if you want to do some exploratory surgery on the notebook, check to see if it has a M.2 SSD slot in the motherboard.
If it does and the slot is wired to work, then it should support a M.2 2280 SATA SSD, but there would be no way to tell.
If you can buy and return a M.2 SSD, it may be worth the risk, assuming the M.2 SSD slot is there.
Some of those models with the eMMC drives, the M.2 slot works and on others it doesn't.
You may also want to upgrade the memory if you open up the notebook.
If it has one slot, you can remove the 4 GB chip and install an 8 GB chip.
If it has two, then you can upgrade to 2 x 8 GB of memory.
I was under the impression that the Pentium Gold processor notebooks have two memory slots, but the manual indicates only one.
