Hi,

Thanks so much. The only driver that was compatible ( by showing only the compatible ones checked in the utility) was sp110609\F6\iaStorACinf. However, when I go to install the driver, it says it could not install it . contact vendor for an updated driver.

This laptop was running Windows 10 and the laptops I have used to download recovery are running windows 11. That should not affect anything correct?

Is there an option to get have the recovery image build on a media and shipped to me? I love all the cloud setup. But, it is not working. that was the reason I bought a HP laptop because of the reputation and I feel that I paid for the OS so I should be able to get the image restored and I don't have to buy another Windows license. I only use the laptop for web browsing.

Thanks so much for all the help.

You're very welcome.

Those drivers are good for W10/W11.

Here is an updated driver from a HP business notebook with the same Intel 10 gen core processor family.

Perhaps that one will work.

Hi,

I tried the zipped driver you sent and it gives me the same message.

Is there any way to build the thumb drive content on the cloud and then download it so I don't get a hang up on the cloud recovery?

Thanks for the guidance.

Hi:

The only way to use the HP cloud recovery tool is to install the file on a PC running W7 64 bit or newer.

After the program is installed, you right click on it, select 'Run as administrator,' enter the PC's full product number in the tool's search window and then the Cloud recovery tool downloads the system image from HP's cloud server, builds the USB recovery drive and then you boot from that install Windows.

I sure wish I knew the answer as to why your notebook can't find the drive, and you are not the only one that has this problem.  It is prevalent.

The only time Windows shouldn't be able to find the drive is on PC's with the Intel 11th generation and newer core processors.

Unable to Detect the Drive When Installing a New Windows* OS on a... (intel.com)

I had given you the drivers for both the 10 generation core processors and the 11th gen and newer core processors.

Hi,

I was able to create a boot up drive by using a windows 10 PC. I think that was the problem. Now, when I boot up with the thumb drive, the screen flashes and it looks like it runs a command window and then the blue screen of death shows up with code

[10:33:19:37] Error, Get Failure from Dynamic Recovery Tool

I thought maybe it is my new SSD drive. So I swap it with the original bad one and I get the same . If I click on Ok on the dialog box, it cycles through to the same screen again,

Hi:

Unfortunately, I don't know what you can do about that problem.

It might be time to take the notebook into your local PC repair shop and have them reinstall Windows for you.

Perhaps they know something that I don't.
