Trying to replace hard drive in HP 17-cn0053cl serial # [personal info removed] product # 316HBUAR. HP support tells me the serial # is not enough to identify the product and the product number error out. The product is sold on Amazon, at Costco, NewEgg and other sites, Crucial & other sites sells drives and RAM for this laptop. There are only 4 screw on the bottom of the case and they don't seem to loosen anything. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, @JASZ1948
Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.
Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)
Chapter 5 has the removal and replacement procedures.
And here is the service teardown video for the model series.

You're right, the product page does not have a service manual for that model. But, looks like a current model, peel back the rubber feet/strips, careful to pull up the adhesive tape with it so you can reuse it later, the rest of the screws are underneath. Then use a plastic pry tool from the top of the laptop to unsnap the bottom cover.
