I have two hp 630 notebooks and one of them has a broken screen so i took out the ram stick and installed it into my other one but its not picking it up how can i fix it?

@Tokyoghoulreape , welcome to the forum.
The maximum amount of memory that can be installed into the laptop is 8 GB. If you are adding the standard 2 GB from the other laptop you may have to update the BIOS, if there is one, to make it work.
Here is the Maintenance and Service Guide for the laptop. The memory information is on Page 24.
