Hello HP community!
To begin with, I want to mention that, like many others here, I am facing issues with the hinge on my laptop being broken on the right side. There are people who have described my situation very well, so I’d like to highlight parts from other posts that address this problem, which seems to be both structural and recurring.
The HP EVNY laptop hinges are prone to breaking with normal usage. This is not an isolated incident, as a simple online search reveals numerous cases of users facing the same problem. It appears to be a widespread design flaw that needs urgent attention. But when reaching out to HP's customer service, I was shocked by their denial of knowledge about the hinge issue. Despite being well-documented online, representatives claimed unfamiliarity and placed blame on the customer. This lack of transparency and accountability is deeply concerning.
I had high hopes for my HP laptop, but unfortunately, they were not met. It’s disappointing that the durability of the hinges is only one year, and yet, I am being blamed as the consumer for causing the damage. There are no external damages on the laptop whatsoever; it is purely a design flaw that has led to this issue. It’s surprising that HP’s support team claims to be unaware of this type of problem when so many cases are described in this forum.

If you search for 'HP Envy x360 - broken hinge' in the community, you'll get around 1000 search results. Even though my specific model doesn't have any known issues with broken hinges, it seems to be a common problem with the HP Envy series. Should I interpret your answer to mean that the hinges on the HP Envy series only last about a year?
I have already spoken with the HP support team, and they blamed me for the issue with the hinges. I cannot understand why HP won’t help me with this manufacturing defect, especially when the problem is so well documented in this community. It's as if HP doesn't want satisfied customers, or for customers to recommend HP devices.
