I have a HP Elite USB C Dock which every time i connect it to my computer via the USB C port does not show up. The light on the dock just flickers as if the power supply becomes intermittent as soon as it is connected.
If i connect the dock via an adapter to the computer it works fine, however, doesn't charge the computer which is what i have it for. I have connected the dock to other HP computers and it works fine.
I have had HP replace the dock already and replace the motherboard in the computer as well. Does anyone have any other suggestions or have you experienced this problem before?
Thanks

Is it the following dock ?
http://www8.hp.com/au/en/products/laptops/product-detail.html?oid=13089884
It is Compatible with HP x2 1012 G2 Tablet, HP x2 1012 G1 Tablet, HP Pro Tablet 608 G1, HP ChromeBook 13 G1, HP EliteBook Folio G1. That means it should work with your machine.
Pease try to download and install its software and drivers to your machine

We have the same problem and one employee from HP told us a new information.
This USB-C Dockingstation is not capable of PXE (network) boot and power charging of the new HP Elite x2 1012 G2.
Instead they recommend us to use the HP Elite USB-C Dock G3 (2DW60AA) which should also give power supply via USB-C.
We ordered one and then we see if this one is working.

Did this new docking station fix your issue? I have a couple of the X7W54AA docking stations that do not work as well.
Your post is the only location where I have found saying that the docking stations are not supported by the G2's.

The dockingstation X7W54AA has only 65W power supply, but the HP Elite x2 1012 G2 Tablet needs 90W.
We tested the new HP Elite USB-C Dock G3 2DW60AA (90W) with the G2 Tablet and it is fully working including PXE boot.

It should be capable of charging the HP elite X2. At least this is what it says in the Product description:
"Keep working with a power pass through that powers your device while it charges.2
Support network manageability of your device and the docking station with integrated Wake on LAN3, PXE boot, and 802.1x authentication on the docking station, and get physical security from a security lock slot."
