Hello, I have had my Hp Envy 13 for less than a year and it has severe coil whine. I hear it if I click, scroll, open an new tab, or even move my mouse. Is there any way that this can be solved? It does not affect the performance of my laptop but I find it really annoying for a laptop that costs so much. Is there any way that this can be fixed or is it just something I will have to live with?
Thanks

I reviewed your post and I understand that you hear coil whine.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
What is the product number of your computer?
Meanwhile, I recommend you update the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

Hello,
My model number is the Hp Envy 13 - aq0044nr. I noticed that there are multiple updates for the intel graphics and the nvidia gpu. Which do you recommend updating? Should I just update to the newest version of both? Meanwhile, I will update the bios.

Hello,
Sorry for the late response, my laptop crashed so I had to do a factory reset to get it back to normal. I am running the most current Bios update and my windows "version" is 20H2. Is this the information that you are looking for?

Is there any way that I can email an agent at HP a sound clip of this really loud coil whine? Is there an email that I can contact at all? I understand coil whine under heavy load, but when I move my mouse? My product is out of warranty, but there still has to be some way that you can help. It is less than a year old....
