Hi!
I want to upgrade my 8gb ddr4 SODIMM to 32gb (2x 16 gb) on my hp laptop. But I can't find what the maximum RAM is for this laptop. Some forums say 16 and some 32gb.
Could you clarify this for me?
Kind regards,
Wietse

Your service manual (on page 1) indicates your notebook supports up to 16 (2x8) GB DDR4-2400.
Crucial says max 16 GB is supported, too.

Intel says your processor (i7 7700 HQ) technically supports max 64 GB DDR4 2400.

That command line figures out max RAM capacity fairly accurately, and your notebook should support 32 GB (2x16).
I once owned a notebook that had an Intel i5 6th gen processor, and it supported 2x16 GB RAM, although its manual said max 16 GB. Your i7 7th gen should take 32 fine.

I dug the forum and found this thread where the person reported the successful installation of 32 GB RAM in a Pavilion Power15-cb0xx notebook.
