Welcome and thank you for spending your time to read my post i hope you can help me 🙂
So i got my old Pavilion dv7 3101sa and i am wondering if you could tell me what are ebst options to upgrade.
What is the best SSD hard drive i could buy ? Is there any difference between the SSD hard drivers?
I got 4 GB of ram and i want to upgrade to 8GB is there any higher frequency i should buy ?
And could you tell me what is the best processor my laptop can run ?
And the final question is there anyway to upgrade GPU ?
Here are the screen shoots of all tabs when i run CPU-Z on the laptop.
Thank you for reading 🙂

Here is the top processor:
AMD Turion™ X2 Ultra Dual-Core M640 35-W, 2.60-GHz with 2-MB L2 cache
No triple or quad core is compatible. The upgrade would take you from 2.3 ghz with a 1 mb L2 cache to 2.6 ghz with a 2 mb L2 cache.
Since these processors are no longer desireable they have gotten dirt cheap:
For $32 I would do the upgrade. Keep in mind none of this is going to help gaming performance at all. You have the Radeon 4350 UMA integrated graphics which is unimpressive to say the least. The SSD is going to give you faster boot time and faster app performance and the 8 gigs of RAM would let you run more things all at one time. You will spend all this money and do all this work and then still be wanting something better, I predict.

You can install an SSD and you can upgrade the processor and memory can be upgraded to 8 gigs. I know you want to keep your old friend, but these upgrades are going to be expensive and are still going to leave you with a laptop 2 or 3 generations behind the curve and rapidly moving into obsolescence. 8 gigs of DDR2 laptop memory alone is going to cost close to $150. Consider a new laptop. If you reject that idea post back and we can walk you through your upgrade options. The video is not going to be upgradeable by the way.

Ahhhh.. yeah my bad i missspelled it. what do u think about this RAMs ? Is the frequency better ?
The SSD hard drive.
And the most important question to me is what processor can i use with the newest version of bios (if i need to upgrade it) so i can go and buy the 2.3 Ghz is too slow for me i am thinking about at least 2.9 Ghz

The memory should be fine and that is not a bad price.
120 gig SSD is going to be a bit confining. I would get a 240 gig. A 240 is not twice as expensive as a 120.
That is a generic brand and I would get something from a name brand manufacturer...Samsung Evo 850 is the best but I have had good luck with OCZ. Crucial MX series I would avoid.
Looking for the applicable Manual to get the processor list. I do not think any of them run as fast as 2.9 ghz however.
