ProBook 440 G5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Previously, I used the ProBook 430 G4 i5 with 32GB HyperX DDR4 2400 CL14 RAM and it worked great. I bought a ProBook 450 G5 and i7 translated the RAM memory and the computer boots up only once and after switching off it spends thanks. After the reset of the bios, he starts again once again and spends a **bleep**. I have the latest frimware.
The new computer does not support the memory that runs on the older one?

The newer laptop is specified for DDR4-2133 SO-DIMM and the recommended part looks like this:

CL14 is an aggressive timing and I suspect the problem is the latency. Most DDR4-2133 is CL15.

Your model does support 16 gig modules.

Strange if I start the first time everything works. After restarting or turning off, the computer does not turn on. The hp specification specifies a RAM of 32GB 2400Mhz.1.JPG

Yes oddly the Manual says to use DDR4-2133 and 8th gen processors will run it at 2400 mhz. That cannot be right but I go back to my statement. I think 32 gigs of DDR4-2400 memory with less aggressive latency timings would work fine.

I have the same problem with HyperX 16GB Memory Kit (2x8GB) on my 450 G5 (i7-8550U), this problem only on HP.

I changed my RAM to slower CL. It works very well.

What kind of RAM did you choose?

P.S. This is not a solution to the problem with the HyperX Kit. There is a problem with the BIOS, maybe BIOS does not support JEDEC/PnP or XMP Profiles, but the manufacturer does not want to fix anything.

HP Recommended

The manufacturer tells you what memory to buy and install and not being able to use performance memory with a faster profile is nothing to be fixed. You have to buy and install memory that works with the machine as HP made it; HP is not going to alter the machine to handle memory you chose to buy.

Honestly, it's easier for me to no longer pay attention to HP products. The manufacturer has no right to tell the user how to use the device and what memory to put. Is it clear now? If this memory works perfectly on other laptops, even on the ProBook 4XX G4, then why does not it work for the ProBook 4XX G5?

HP Recommended

No one is telling you how to use the laptop and telling you what will and will not work is a service not a command. If you buy the specified kind of OEM memory it will work fine. To flip it around HP has no obligation to make a laptop that will work with HyperX memory.
