I have the same problem with my 2x16 GB HyperX DDR4 2400 MHz CL-14 modules on my Probook 450 G5. After the first boot it works fine, then after restarting the computer I am left with a black screen and three long beeps followed by two short ones with higher pitch. I have repeated the procedure and the symptoms are exactly the same. Removing one module does not help, I have to re-fit the original 1x8GB Samsung module and then everything works as before. Updating the BIOS did not resolve the problem either (I have tried this with versions 1.06, 1.07 and 1.09.01).
Is there a way to change memory timings in the BIOS? I have not found it yet.

You can stop looking there is no way to alter memory timings. I really can't understand why this is so difficult. The Manual specifies the memory to use and others have reported troubles with "performance" memory. Yes I would love to put wide slick Indy 500 tires on my Nissan sedan but they are what, just not compatible.

Thanks Huffer, I suppose you are right. It is just disappointing as everything works beautifully before the first restart . . . I hope I can get back the money I spent on these two 16GB modules . . .

Me, too. Maybe they would exchange for some Hynix or Samsung OEM level RAM.
And I'm definitely giving you the "likes" for this Bluegrass Guitar rendition of that Hank Williams (Sr.) classic:

I had no idea Bluegrass was even a thing in the Czech Republic. Ever been to Bean Blossom, Indiana at the Bill Monroe Music Park? About 60 miles from where I am sitting right now.

Wow. thank you for the kudos on the guitar video 🙂 I have never been to Bean Blossom, unfortunately . . .
I have one more comment to add to the RAM-discussion - I have found that if I keep the original Samsung 1x8GB module in slot 1, I can use one of the HyperX modules along with it as the CAS latency is determined by the slowest module. I guess this is a good solution as it gives me 24GB total RAM and the price was right - most other modules are actually more expensive here.
