HP Laptop 17-bs0xx:
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am having problem with my HP TrueVision Camera. I have an HP Laptop 17-bs0xx, running Windows 10  (64-bite) I have tried the suggestion I found from others members in the community and have the same problems they have but  with no success in fixing the problem.

The Hp TrueVision Camera works but the picture is out of focus, everything is blurry, fuzzy, and distorted.

I have uninstalled and reinstall the camera, but no change

I have Uninstalled and reinstalled the driver but no change.

I downloaded and installed the BIOS but no change.

I downloaded and installed other drivers but no change..

I have a 2017 HP Laptop 17  the camera that is installed on my computer: Driver Provider: Microsoft   Date:  6/21/2006, Driver Version:  10.0.18362.693

The camera driver will not update,

When I tried to update Windows say this is the best driver for my computer. No problem found. But the Camera do not work properly.

The picture is blurry I can hardly recognize myself. But when I use zoom with my tablet or my phone no problem the picture is clear. I tried calling a service center but because of COVID-19.  and because the camera is from HP they will not touch it.

I search Microsoft online no live person could help same with HP no live person will answer the phone. I sent emails after email but not help.

How do I fix this problem?

Please Help me.

Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.

As you have mentioned that you have already tried troubleshooting steps. Still, it is not resolved.

I would suggest you try creating a new user account on your computer.

Go to http://hp.care/2dWJKgW  and follow the steps to create a new user account.

If the issue still persists, please perform the system reset.

Hi Tye2T I have a 2017 Envy 17 S143 with your identical setup. My camera went bum about a year ago after a windows 10 update and I am still looking for a fix.

@DrewMann

I understand your concerns.

Try the steps below to try and fix the issue:

  • Click the bottom-left Start button on desktop, type device manager in the search box and tap Device Manager on the menu.
  • Expand Imaging Devices
  • Right-click on the webcam, and select "uninstall".
  • Restart the computer. This will force the webcam driver to be reinstalled.

Now, try and use the webcam. If the issue persists, then the steps listed here: http://hp.care/2qe5IRJ

Have a nice day!!
