 my laptop currently has the battery error 601. Is it the cmos battery which needs to be replaced? Is there any solutions to this without the need to replace the battery . ? Pls help.

No the problem is the main battery. It needs to be replaced. Why is that so bad? Its ordinary maintenance and part of owning a laptop. If you need help finding one to buy and/or installing it we can provide assistance.
