Hp pavilion 15-cw1027la
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello! I am from Argentina, sorry if my english is not good.

I bought my notebook (Hp pavilion 15-cw1027la) on November 29, 2020. After a month of use, one day it began to discharge the battery even though the device is plugged into the electrical current.
I contacted the technical support service who made me check:
- The battery and charger worked well.
- Uninstall the ACPI drivers from device manager and restart the computer but there was no change
- Tried to update the BIOS but the version was older than the current version in the system and it could not be executed.
After that, the battery ran out and the equipment shut down. I left it charging for two hours and to surprise the battery had fully charged!!
I sang victory only for one day because at next day it was doing the exacly same thing.
I asked the technical service to review it but they found nothing that could make this error jump.
A week after the technical service evaluated it, we returned to the starting point because this morning the battery began to discharge again, even though it is connected to the electrical current.
Which leads me to ask myself the next question: Could it be that there is some system / computer configuration / or something / that is doing this? because I don't know what else to do to find an answer to what is happening

I hope I can find some help here.

In advance, thank you very much.
Geraldine.

Hi@Geraldine2021,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Have a great day!
