I hv been wanting to upgrade processor of my old laptop, Hp pavilion g6 2132tx, core-i3 2350m to core-i7, can you help me out if the processor in that laptop can be upgraded and if so, to which processor.

Chapter 1 has the list of supported processors.

 

Looks like you can upgrade to the Intel Core i7-3612QM.

Thanks for your quick response... Just one more thing... So, core-i7 3612QM can easily be installed on this laptop and won't create any issues. Right?

According to the manual it should work fine.

 

I didn't see any different mother boards for the quad core processors.

 

You can always play it safe and install the i7 dual-core processor listed in the manual.
