Hi unusual question I have to change a display flex on this laptop for a customer.
I had disassembled and identifyed the problem , I had to reassemble and return to customer quickly as they couldn’t be without the laptop even with intermittent working display.
I don’t want to get it back in and disassemble to obtain the part number as they want it as it is semi working ,it’s very fragile .
I should have taken a photo of part number, is there any other way to obtain it ? or do the 15” models of this era share any parts ?
Hp no longer ofering parts for this model or support .

You mean the screen cable?
Display cable (includes Mylar screw covers)For use in non-touch displays 809028-001
Much better price:
Just be sure its the cable. The screen can be damaged at the cable connection point which makes it seem as if it's the cable that's bad.
Good luck and please accept as solution if this is the info you needed.

Hi thank you for your detailed Reply , I am not familiar with hp products , mostly carry out apple and board level repairs,
that looks like the correct cable , thanks for sharing your knowledge!
may be the display as the inverter board is a paper thin PCB which seems attached to screen
