Hi:

Is this the model you have?

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04202035

If so, I don't think the Intel dual band cards work with the Pentium processors.

Your notebook according to the parts list, has the Atheros AR9565 802.11bgn 1x1 WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 combination WLAN adapter.

That should have two antenna cables connected to it.

Before you go out and buy a different card, open up the notebook and make sure it has two antenna cables connected to the wifi card in there now.

Here are two dual band Broadcom cards that should work in your model....

Dual band N:

Broadcom BCM943228HMB 802.11abgn 2×2 Wi-Fi Adapter, Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter  HP part # 730668-001

Dual band AC:

Broadcom BCM4352 802.11ac 2x2 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.0 combo   HP part # 724935-001

You should be able to find both cards in used but tested and working condition on eBay.

Search by the HP part number, not the model of the wifi card.

Here is the link to the service manual...

Thank you for your answer. Thats my ultrabook model, but the wifi card is a Ralink Rt3090, not an atheros.

I was thinking about a Ralink model, what do you think?

You're very welcome.

There are no Ralink dual band cards that I know of.

You're lucky your RT3290 is still working on W10.

Usually on the newer builds of W10, the Ralink wifi and bluetooth adapters completely disappear from the device manager.

The parts list for your notebook indicated it came with an Atheros wifi card, which is why I had referenced it.

The Ralink card was an equivalent model.

That is great news.
