I bought some new ram sticks. After installing the 2 new ram sticks I hop into the bios which shows me that it has 8GB installed. Everytime I boot up I get a blue screen with the codes: system thread exception not handled + Kernel security check failed.

I have an I3 350M processor.

Stock it came with 3gb of ram. It can handle up to 8gb with 2x4gb sticks.

The ram I tried to put in:

Hi:

See this discussion...you have to install very specific memory in notebooks with the Mobile Intel series 5 chipsets.

I have a Kingston 4gb stick; HP16D3LS1KFG/4G 4GB 1Rx8 PC3L-12800S 11-12-B3

And a Kingston 4GB 1Rx8 PC3L 12800S 11-12-B3

If I put this in this should work right?

Unfortunately, I couldn't say because the memory doesn't match the description of the memory I know will work.

You will probably run into the same issue as you are now.

If you read the discussion link I posted, the other forum member from the Netherlands indicated what memory he bought that worked.
