My HP spectre x360 Convertible 14-ea0520sa won’t charge via any port and the motherboard needs replacing due to the commonly reported burnout issue which has happened. This is such a common issue with so many people reporting the same issue in this forum with the motherboard failing - I am lost for words. I’ve only had the laptop for 2 years and for such an expensive machine this shouldn’t be happening - and the price to replace the motherboard is 80% of the price of what I paid for the laptop. I don’t understand why these laptops weren’t recalled with the motherboard issue being such a common issue and the dangers involved. Can someone from HP please contact me about this issue asap. Thanks

The motherboard needs replaced like hundreds of other people on this forum. Why was this laptop not recalled. My laptop is out of warranty it’s only 2 years old. It’s outrageous that these laptops were not recalled seeing as thousands of people on here are reporting the same motherboard issue. Can you provide me with a better solution? I don’t think it’s fair that I should have to pay to have the motherboard replaced on such a high end laptop which is minimally used and has failed at 2 only years. Let alone the dangers involved with this!!

There is a small PC shop in Shaftesbury, that does perform repairs down to the component level on the system board ( AKA motherboard in a PC).
Here is the link to their website.
You can see them at work on YouTube.

I hope that helps.
