Hi @Red_sniper99,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for reaching out about the battery issue with your HP Stream 11-y010wm. We understand how frustrating it is when your device won’t hold a charge, especially when it’s showing “0% available (plugged in)” and giving a Primary Internal Battery (601) error during startup.

Let’s walk you through a few steps, and let me know if this helps:

1. Hard Reset

Sometimes static charge causes detection errors:

  • Turn off the laptop.
  • Unplug the charger.
  • Hold the power button for ~15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the charger and turn it back on.
  • See if the battery is detected. If not, continue to the next step.

2. Check Battery Status in BIOS

  • Press Esc, then F10 at startup to enter BIOS.
  • Check System Information or Battery Info (if available).
  • If it still shows "No Battery", it’s confirmed hardware failure.

3. BIOS Restore:

1) Shut down the computer, keep the charger plugged in

2) Hold down the Windows and B buttons together while the computer is still turned off.

3) Turn on the computer and continue to hold the Windows and B buttons until a BIOS Recovery screen appears.

4) Follow the on-screen instructions and click on OK.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
