Pavilion g6-2323sx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I would like to buy a 4gb ram for my laptop. Is Hynix memory modules compatible with my system (Pavilion g6-2323sx, Win 10 64bit)?

The right kind of Hynix, yes. This is the specified part:

Memory modules (1066 MHz, DDR3): ● 4 GB PC3 12800 1600 MHz shared 641369-001

Looks like this:

So it needs to be DDR3-1600 and low density with 8 back blocks on the side, not 4. And it is not low voltage memory it is 1.5 volt.

So this ebay Hynix would work fine:

I'll check in the stores near my area for the availability. Thanks for the info.

Unfortunately the hynix memory was out of stock... And the vendor is showing me a Kingston KCP3L16SS8/4 4Gb memory. Need some help! Is the Kingston compatible with my Pavilion g6-2323sx? I've tried searching on google and I can't find any valuable information of compatibility. Hoping for some expert help.

That is low voltage memory. Might work but not ideal.

Will mixing a DD3 and DDR3L cause some problems?

This is the display i got from CPU-Z:

The 2Gb ram is showing a 1.5V, while the 4Gb is showing 1.35V.. Been using my laptop for four years now will the set up cause any problems?

I did not think it was possible to have 2 modules in the same laptop running at 2 different voltages. All 1.35 volt memory can also run at 1.5 volt so I have always seen if you mix them it will all run at 1.5 volts. If it has been that way for 2 years I guess it is causing no problems.
