Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hi,

I am performing MICROSOFT Windows 2016 Labs ( as my Internship) using vm workstation ,while doing a set up for this lab, i encountered an issue of out of memory ( current c drive memory is 237 GB, and only 7GB left) because i have to create 8 VM Machines ,each having 50 to 60GB disc size. So i m thinking to format my PC but as i did not received Operating system either in CD or USB Form when i purchased new laptop in Dec 2020, so i can not format my PC.

My current processor is of i5 with 2.40GHz and 8GB Ram. If i need to upgrade Ram to enable creating 2 to 3 partition drives to complete my Labs using Windows 2016 or 8.1 ,then how much Ram i need to upgrade to?

Looking for your best possible suggestion

No, new machines now won't come with DVD's and thick printed manuals. They are all on the cloud/internet. I don't know why you have to use DVD's to format HDD. Anyway, if you wish, you can use the following source

@Viku1

Your post has a lot of confusing information.

There is no Windows 2016.  There is Windows Server 2016 -- but we do not provide support for that, as that is an Enterprise product, not Consumer.  Windows Server is designed to be run on huge Tower machines, not laptops.

You said you need 8 VMs or 50GB each -- that is 400GB -- which you clearly can NOT get from a 256GB drive, no matter what formatting you attempt.

Partitions are disk sections and have nothing whatsoever to do with the RAM you have.  And while each VM does take memory space, that has nothing to do with the partition space on the disk.

So quite simply, what you are attempting can not be done on this laptop. Period.
