HP Laptop 15-dy2088ca
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I try to find a driver for the NVMe SSD of my HP laptop 15-dy2088ca but without success.

The reason why I need this driver is a fresh Windows 10 reinstall by using a USB bootable.

During the beginning of the reinstallation, it asks me to select a drive where I can install the OS. But a message appears and I can't continue the reinstallation : "No signed device drivers were found. Make sure that the installation media contains the correct driver, and then click OK."

So I decided to go to the source by checking on hp.com for this driver. But nothing was find. It's really disappointing for me.

Does someone have an idea about this driver ? Did someone have the same problem ?

Thank you in advance for your replies 😉

Hi:

See this link for how to install W10 on notebooks with the Intel 11th gen core processors...

HP PCs - No Drives Can Be Found During Windows 10 Installation (Intel 11th Generation processors) | ...

This would be the driver from the support page for your notebook's model series...

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp108501-109000/sp108979.exe

The only thing that I don't understand is HP tells you to right click on the above file and select Extract.

I don't see such an Extract option when I right click on the file.

If you don't either, install the free 7-Zip file utility on the PC you are using and after you install 7-Zip, right click on the driver exe file, and select Extract to:  let 7-Zip extract the file to its folder name (sp108979), and then you can continue on with the instructions.

You're very welcome.

It must be a mistake.

The only files that I know of you can right click on and select Extract in Windows without installing 3rd party software, are zip files.

I tried like explained on HP Customer Support - Knowledge Base, but one more time without success.

Maybe the driver is not the right one.

I checked on hp.com to find my laptop, there's nothing about it. How did you find my laptop model ?

Hi:

This is your notebook's driver page...

HP Laptop PC 15-dy2000 Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Customer Support

Try this slightly newer driver from a different model notebook with the 11th gen processor...

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp112501-113000/sp112703.exe

The driver you want to browse to is inside the driver>x64 folder.

Sorry for my late answer, I was so busy these days.

I would like to thank you for your support : I tried again, and now it works perfectly.

Obviously, I did something wrong during the process.

Thank you again for your patience 😉

And have a nice day,
