Hp 14s Dk0126au
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to upgrade the RAM for my laptop HP 14s dk0126au, here I am confused about the speed of the ram frequency, can anyone tell me? I checked the z cpu, it says DDR 4 2666Mhz, but in the Ddr memory section it only says 1199, * / about 2400Mhz if converted, so which one is correct? Do I have to install 2666Mhz or 2400Mhz?

Hi:

While your notebook may have DDR4-2666 MHz memory, the AMD Ryzen™ 3 3200U processor it has can only run the memory at a max speed of 2400 MHz.

See the specs below...

HP Notebook - 14s-dk0126au Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support

If you look at chapter 1, page 2 of the service manual, DDR4-2400 memory is the standard.

Maintenance and Service Guide HP 14 Laptop PC

DDR4-2666 MHz memory must be what HP had at the time and it just bridges to 2400 MHz to match the speed your notebook's processor can run the memory at.

If you plan on upgrading the memory, I recommend that you buy another DDR4-2666 MHz memory module to match the memory spec of the memory module that HP installed.
