HP 14-an090nr notebook pc
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I can't remove the bottom of my HP 14-an090nr notebook pc, I would like to put in more ram and maybe an SSD. I looked at the manual and removed all of the screws that they tell you to remove (I think), but I still couldn't get it off, and I certainly don't want to break anything.

Please help, thank you

@FST

See beginning at p. 30 of the Manual and then jump to page 38 for memory.

Manual

Max memory is actually 16 gigs but I think you would see very little improvement in excess of 8 gigs. So you need a second one of these modules:

4-GB 691740-005

https://www.amazon.com/HP-691740-001-1600MHz-PC3L-12800-memory/dp/B00CI08FX4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=...

Try to match the existing module for speed voltage, density and latency. The module above will match as to all that.

Post back if you have any more questions.

Those instructions really helped, I had to use a bit more "elbow grease" in prying apart the top and bottom of the laptop than a I thought I had to,  but I did it. Thanks very much for the reply, REO5051ST  🙂

MuthuSarkan,

Yes, I saw those instructions in another thread that was talking about my laptop model, and I ordered the memory stick from Amazon.

I was wondering if you could recommend an SSD I could put in my laptop (now that I can access the insides)?
