I have tried to upgrade the Ram in my laptop by adding a 16gb stick. The laptop currently has 2x4gb ddr4-3200 sodimm and timing of 22. The laptop is compatible up to 16gb per slot. Whenever I install the 16gb stick, capslock blinks 3 long 2 short(Ram Error). I have reset cmos, updated bios, and clean the slot. It boots just fine with the 2x4gb but wont with a 16gb and a 4gb or just the 16gb. Is the Ram faulty? I dont have any other way of testing it.

Tell us the exact type of memory installed. Mfr and part number. If it is gaming or performance memory it may just be incompatible due to latency mismatch and rarely but sometimes it can be an issue of density (i.e. number of ranks).
