Hi I use an HP EliteBook 840 G1 and my computer says Battery 2 Not present and there is only 1 battery slot on the device. Where is battery 2 located?

Please try

 

  • Open Device Manager (with both AC power and battery connected).
  • Expand the battery section.
  • Uninstall all components listed here.
  • Shut down the notebook.
  • Remove battery and AC power.
  • Press and hold power button for one full minute.
  • Put battery back (not AC).
  • Boot the notebook and allow Windows to reinstall the drivers.

Yes, it can have a secondary battery model/product : C006XL using the first port on the following image
