I have a new HP Envy 17.3" laptop (model indicated above) and I don't see a "number lock" indicator light anywhere. The caps lock key has a light that illuminates when it is turned on but there is no such light on the num lock key. Is there another kind of indicator that I'm not seeing? And if there is no indicator, why not? Thanks!

Hi RE051ST,

Thanks for your response but it appears that I may not have worded my question clearly. I know where the num lock key is, but generally there is an indicator, usually in the form of a light that illuminates somewhere on the keyboard or above it, that tells you when the function is engaged. This is especially helpful when you hit the key accidentally and can't figure out why you can't type numbers all of a sudden. As I stated in my OP, the caps lock key has such a light on it but not the num lock key, and if it doesn't exist, I'm really curious as to why.

Thanks again!
