I downloaded HP PC Hardware Diagnostics for Windows as recommended on the HP Support Assistant link last night. This morning I got a failure message trying to download an email attachment on 3 tries, so I restarted laptop. When screen first came on, it was not my usual screensaver. It had the correct Windows account image and name. When I input my password, it swirled a while, then I got a message that it could not log into my account and would open a (visitor?) account, and that the best solution was to log out and log back in. Over on the far left bar above the power button, it shows I WAS LOGGED IN! But the desktop had none of my files or images or applications. So I logged out anyway and got the same cycle over and over. I was on the phone with Microsoft for 45 minutes on screen share to try to find my other account. Could not. AAARGH! Help!
