I have a HP EliteBook 650 G9 and want to add a secondary internal SSD - What are my options?

What type, capacity, speed (or generation), physical size (2242, 2260, and 2280) etc. can I install in the secondary M.2 slot?

Hi NonSequitur777, Thank you so much for your response but I don't thinks the information is correct as the 2280 size is for the primary M.2 slot.  My guess is that the secondary slot is 2242 as there is about 4 cm from connector to securing screw.  It would be nice to have this verified and also can I chose either Gen 3 or 4 for this slot and any capacity?

I found in the link you sent that the secondary storage is as follows

256 GB, M.2 2230 (2nd solid-state drive, only available on models without WWAN)

128 GB, M.2 2230 (2nd solid-state drive, only available on models without WWAN)

That answers the question about the physical size.  I am guessing that the capacity sizes are just what HP offer, but maybe I could still purchase a larger size elsewhere.

You are correct: my bad -my information only applies to the primary drive.
