The caps lock continues to flash when powered on and the display is blank. I saw the youtube video and he fixed the same symptom by flashing the bios... thank you in advance...

Hi:

 

Since HP retired support for your notebook as it has surpassed the 10-year support limit, the only place that I know of where you can find a BIOS file for your notebook would be from this reputable 3rd party website.

 

HP Pavilion dv6-3025dx BIOS (driverscollection.com)

 

I don't know how to run the BIOS update outside of Windows, so hopefully whatever YouTube video you watched shows how to do that.
