Hi @Mr-fuqs-it,

Yes, you can sometimes use a non-HP charger with an HP Elite tablet, but there are important conditions and limitations depending on the exact model and the charging port it uses.

Some HP Elite tablets use USB-C charging. If so, USB Power Delivery (USB-PD)–compliant chargers may work. Older Elite tablets might use a proprietary barrel connector; in that case, only chargers with the correct plug and specifications will work.

If you’re not sure which charging port your specific Elite Tab has, check the label or the shape of the charging port, or provide the exact model and I can check.

If your tablet charges over USB-C, you may be able to use a third-party charger, but it must meet a few requirements:

USB Power Delivery (USB-PD) support — most modern non-HP chargers use PD, which negotiates voltage automatically.
Sufficient wattage — use a charger with equal or higher wattage than the original (for example, 45 W or 65 W). Using lower wattage could result in slow charging or no charging at all.

I am an HP Employee.
