HP Notebook - 14-cf0013dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I tried replacing my laptop battery. I removed the bottom cover and then the old battery. In the process of installing the new battery I lost a screw.

This is where the missing screw was. Should I wait until I find a replacement screw to use the laptop or is it fine if I’m missing one of the five?

I am also unable to fully reinstall the back cover.

This plastic/rubber part of the HDD is in the way. How can I fix this? I can post more pictures if needed.

Look at pages 35 and 37. I am a technician and I am not going to tell you to just leave out a screw. Not sure how the hard drive mounting bracket got removed but you need to pull the hard drive and replace that rubber mounting rail on the side of the hard drive. Its there to cushion the vibration of the hard drive and having it properly in place is important. Post back with any more questions.
