Hi a few day ago I bought 8GB of RAM, today finally it came to me and I tried to upgrade my gaming laptop. When i turned it on and look up for my computer properties and there were still 8GB. I tried to switch Memories but after this it was still the same.
I think there's a problem with a upper slot or idk what's the problem. Please help me I'm thinking to return the memory and take my money back.
Cheers

Try the original memory in both slots. If it works in both slots there is nothing wrong with the motherboard. Then it becomes likely the module you bought is defective. It happens sometimes. The specs are correct. It is DDR4-2666 SO-DIMM CL=19

Always an option if you are under warranty but they are going to run you through some diagnostics before they just let you send it in and HP will not support third party memory modules so it will be easier for you to start with the memory seller.
