Hi , I am looking to upgrade my laptop to an ssd , I have 1 500GB hard drive in the laptop but I want to replace it for an SSD and put the operating system on it. Before that I would really like to know if my laptop has SATA II or SATA III connectors before buying the SSD.

SATA 3 is backward compatible with SATA 2 therefore same connector, only SATA 2 is slower. You can use 1TB or 2TB 2,5" SSD  on your machine. There are many products from many vendors around, for example

    https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/probook-4530s/CT11462252    (1TB)

    https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/probook-4530s/CT11398497    (2TB)
