Since you have a 4 GB memory chip installed (I forgot your notebook only has a 4 GB chip and not an 8 GB one):
Your options would be to add another 4 GB memory chip in the empty slot and have 8 GB of memory running in dual channel mode.
Add an 8 GB memory in the empty slot and have 12 GB of memory running in single channel mode.
Add a 16 GB memory chip in the empty slot and have 20 GB of memory running in single channel mode.
I would spring for the most memory you are willing to pay for.

I can't guarantee you what memory will work.
You need to make sure the memory has these specs:
DDR3-3200 CL22 1Rx8 or 2Rx8.
If the memory you want to buy has the above specs, then it should work.
